Attention: Violations Bureau customers: New Traffic Ticket System — ODYSSEY

The Maine Judicial Branch is transitioning to a new case management and e-filing system called Odyssey.

The first phase will be rolled out for traffic violation cases statewide on October 29, 2018.

As part of this transition, the current system for online and phone fine payments, PayTixx, is being replaced. Your payment options will be limited as outlined below.

PayTixx will not be available after October 17, 2018 at noon. Between October 17th at noon and October 28thif you need to pay a traffic ticket fine, you will not be able to access online payment or other online services.

During this time, traffic fines may be paid only in person, using cash, certified, or cashiers’ checks at the Violations Bureau window of the Lewiston District Court.  The public window at the Lewiston District Court will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Credit or debit card payments will not be allowed.

If your license was suspended, and you pay your fine during the transition phase, a Clerk at the Lewiston District Court window will be able to give you documentation to provide to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Reinstatement must be completed by the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

The new online payment service will be available on October 29, 2018.
