SJC adopts amendments to the Maine Rules of Electronic Court Systems

The Supreme Judicial Court has adopted significant amendments to the Maine Rules of Electronic Court Systems (MRECS). These rules apply in courts using the Judicial Branch's electronic filing system, including courts in Kennebec and Somerset Counties beginning on Monday, February 2, 2026. The rules govern filing of and access to documents in those courts.
