The Judicial Branch Violations Bureau handles traffic tickets for the entire State of Maine through a centralized process. Traffic violations are non-criminal offenses also called traffic infractions.

You may search and view traffic violation records or pay your ticket through the Odyssey Portal. You may contest your traffic ticket online through Maine Guide & File.

Because many tickets are issued by hand, there may be a delay from the time you receive a ticket until you can use the automated phone system or online portal.

Before attempting to pay or take other action on your ticket online, make sure the ticket is in the system.

You may also pay your ticket

  • By mail;
  • By phone 1-866-729-8499; or
  • In person at the clerk’s window at any Maine state courthouse. See the Find a Court page for locations and hours.
