New Maine Family Rules Advisory Committee

Letters ofinterest due by May 14, 2018

The Maine Supreme Judicial Court announces its plan to create a Maine Family Rules Advisory Committee.  The Committee's membership will comprise ten or more lawyers with experience in the litigation of all types of family matters, including divorce, parental rights and responsibilities, minor guardianships, adoptions, juvenile matters, child protection matters, and protection from abuse matters.  The Committee will meet at least four times annually to consider amendments to the current Family Division rules, and to consider the adoption of new rules.

The Court invites any member of the Maine bar who is interested in being appointed to the Committee to send a letter of interest to lawcourt.clerk@courts.maine.gov, on or before May 14, 2018.
