Dover-Foxcroft Courthouse Dedication July 13, 2012, 11:00 a.m.
Portland, Maine, June 8, 2012 – The Maine Judicial Branch has scheduled the dedication of the newly renovated courthouse in Dover- Foxcroft for Friday, July 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. The Courthouse is located at 159 East Main St, Dover-Foxcroft.
This project, which began in May 2011, was completed on time and under budget. The construction renovated the County Courthouse that was originally constructed in 1838. The project enabled the Judicial Branch to consolidate the Dover-Foxcroft District Court that was located in another building with the Piscataquis County Superior Court so that both courts are located in one building and share one clerk's office.
In addition to the improved operational efficiency from consolidating the two clerks' offices, the major features of the renovation include improved safety, technology and energy efficiency.
The dedication will be open to the public and the press, and tours of the building will be available following the dedication. FMI: firstname.lastname@example.org
