Traffic Court/Moving Violations

The Maine Judicial Branch Violations Bureau handles traffic infraction for the entire State of Maine through a centralized process. To get information about a traffic ticket or to pay a traffic ticket with a credit card, go to the PayTixx system.

Driving Directions to the Violations Bureau

From the Maine Turnpike
Take Exit 80 - At the stop sign take a left and travel over the overpass. Bear right onto #196 West. This puts you on Lisbon Street. Travel straight down Lisbon Street until you get to the end of the street (about 2 1/2/miles or 5 sets of lights). After Lisbon Street turns into a one-way, you will go through another 3 sets of lights. At the 4th light, which is at the end of Lisbon Street, turn right onto Main Street, at the next light turn right onto Park Street. Traveling down Park Street you will see a large parking lot on your left. The Violations Bureau building is on the right on the corner of Park and Ash Street (85 Park Street).
From Route 202 from Augusta
Traveling South on Route #202, as you approach the downtown area you will see Central Maine Medical Center on the right. Take a left turn onto Park Street. (There will be signs for Park Street, City Hall and the Police Department).Traveling down Park Street you will see a large parking lot on your left. The Violations Bureau building is on the right on the corner of Park and Ash Street (85 Park Street).

Schedule of Amounts Due

The listed amounts that appear in the schedule are the amounts that will be accepted by the Maine Judicial Branch Violations Bureau for traffic infractions if paid with an answer of “not contested” filed in a timely manner. Officers may show a person charged the Schedule of Amounts Due, showing the specific infractions and the amounts due for each infraction charged.

This Schedule of Amounts Due is effective for traffic infractions occurring on or after September 1, 2008 unless otherwise ordered by the Chief Judge of the District Court.
