Broken families don't have to mean broken kids. Parent training to ease the transition for their kids' sake.
For Kids' Sake provides a positive way for parents to learn:
- How divorce affects children.
- How parents who are separating or divorcing can cooperate to make things easier for their children.
- How other parents face similar problems.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who should attend?
The training sessions are open to all parents and step-parents with minor children. You may decide to attend on your own, or the court, an attorney, or mental health professional may suggest that you attend. We request that parents attend separate session. Parents with new partners are encouraged to attend the same workshop.
What can I expect?
Training sessions are four hours long. Presenters are knowledgeable about child and family development. Lecture, video, role-play demonstrations in small groups may be used.
What is the cost?
The fee for each program is $60.00 per person, $100 per couple, payable at pre-registration, which is required. Walk-in registration is not available. A reduced fee is available based on financial need. The fee includes materials, a certificate of completion, beverages and light snacks.
