Supreme Court: Most Recent OpinionsNOTE: Effective October 20, 2006, Maine Supreme Court opinions will be loaded on the web page in PDF format only. The html version will no longer be available. IntroductionThe opinions of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court sitting as the Law Court have been published on this site since January 1, 1997. Although opinions posted on this site are public documents and may be utilized and cited in this form, they are subject to revision and correction. When a revision or correction is made, the new version of that opinion will be posted on this site. The date of revision or correction as well as the date of initial publication will be indicated. Historical NoteThe permanent official version of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court's opinions is that published in Atlantic Reporter, 2d Series, which has been Maine's Official Reporter since 1966. Cases published since January 1, 1997, should be cited in the following style: Dutil v. Burns , 1997 ME 1,¶ 2, 687 A.2d 639, 640.
