AUTHORITY OF JUDGES/JUSTICES TO SIT IN EITHER DISTRICT OR SUPERIOR COURTSTATE OF MAINE SUPREME JUDICIAL COURTADMINISTRATIVE ORDER JB-07-3 Authority of Judges/Justices to Sit in Either District or Superior Court (JB-07-3(PDF)) Effective: November 1, 2007 In accordance with 4 M.R.S. §§ 2-A, 121, 157-C, any judge who has been appointed, confirmed, and sworn in to the role of judge of the District Court, justice of the Superior Court, or justice of the Supreme Judicial Court, including any active retired judge or justice, is authorized to sit as a judge or justice of either the District or Superior Court at any time without further order of this Court.
